FILIDE
"Your steps pursue not what is not within sight, but what is inside, buried there and erased."
Interior design project inspired by the book
‘Invisible Cities’ by Italian writer Italo Calvino, 1972
The book provokes the imagination
through the descriptions of cities by the explorer Marco Polo.
In this project i creat a living space in an existing building in the Florentine neighborhood, Tel Aviv.
The space inspired by a specific story from
a book ,‘FILIDE ’ story.
The exterior of a city attracts because of its beauty but if you go inside and stay there everything fades and dies.
This city reflects our life today, construction technology and construction materials are developing and advancing but culture and authenticity are becoming extinct.
As part of the process we built conceptual models, my models express my point of view, which advocates that
progress should be based first and foremost on culture. The wood as hot material represents the authentic culture,
while the iron bars that "evolve" from it represent progressivism and technology.
